People Of Big River Field Class Day 1

Today was a good day even though I was away from my nephew on his 9 th birthday but I'm going to call him to wish him a happy birthday but other than that I had a good day so far even though I had to get up at 6 in the morning but it was fun this morning and we headed up to the kamiake butte to meet up with this guy named Landon who goes to WSU and he was researching pileated woodpecker and we hiked up this high mountain and I was scared out of my mind because of how high I was up and other than that it was pretty fun and after we were done there we headed out of there and headed to the Wellness Center to take showers but on the ride here everyone but the driver fell asleep and I woke up around the construction site that was going on and we got to the Wellness Center to take showers and after we had to blog and after this were going to the Pow Wow and so that's how my night is going so far.

Well today was a good day we got up and came to the Wellness Center to shower and when we got here there was a sauna in there and it was pretty fun to be in because it helped me relax a lot more than I usually am and after I was done sitting in the sauna I took a shower and after we were all done with the shower we sat and chilled for a little while and then we had to head back to the camp site and we had breakfast then we had to make lunch for the day and we headed out again and headed out to the Couer d'Alene Casino and we got to meet Quanah Matheson the director of Cultural Affairs and his father Dave Matheson the owner of the Couer d'Alene Casino and after they were both done talking we got to look at the paintings and the objects they all had and Taylor took a picture of this one painting and a couple people said they looked like me so I had to go look at what they meant and I took a picture it to see what they meant and it didn't look that much like me so yeah afte

Well it was a travel day and we got up around 7 and we had to get ready and pack our tents up and clean up around us so it won't be messy when we leave and after we did that we had breakfast and waited for people to get done blogging so Judy asked me to check her snapchat and I let her and when she was trying to I decided to go lay on Mrs. Trease's van and take a nap and I woke up to them saying it was time to eat our lunch and after we were done with lunch we headed out to Couer d'Alene and we got here around 6 and we put our tents up and we had to help out with the feast they were having when we got there and it was fun helping because we got to help serve elk or deer and camas (root) and it was fun helping out with that stuff so I enjoyed yesterday pretty much and I won't forget that day ever it's a day to remember so yesterday I had a good day and won't forget it ever. So there's how my day went. 

Well today was an alright day got to go the Spokane Tribal Hatchery and it was really nice there because of all the things we were learned there and I swear it was so beautiful to see and how it was to fish back in the day and the different type of fish there are and what they fished for and stuff like that but one of the sayings they had up on the walls were “Before Grand Coulee Dam we wanted for nothing After Grand Coulee Dam we had nothing” and after we left there we went to Anderson Ranch we learned about the woods and everything and then we went to the lake to look at it and I got to hold a frog and Warren put on blast and told me to kiss the frog then we left there and headed back to the camp site and group 1 got to help cook and I got to help sauteed mushrooms and it was fun because Monet helped me the first time but then she let me do it all by myself the rest of the time and then I was done cooking and I got sit and wait for the rest of the food to be done and it didn'

So today we got woke up around 7 and we had breakfast but after breakfast we had to get ready fast and leave at 9 to go to the river and help out there and we got to try catch and let go of fish but it was a pretty good day so far and I honestly had fun doing the volunteer work today and I got to talk to Jessica about what I wanted to go to college for and we had a pretty good talk I loved talking to her about it and she gave me some pretty advice and when we got to the end of where we had to get to we had to climb a high mountain and I was scared to climb the mountain because I am scared of heights like really bad and I almost felt like I was going to die but I was over exaggerating I really wasn't going to die I just am really scared of heights so I kinda got scared of walking up that hill and when we got up to the top of the hill we caught up to the cars and got the equipment off and headed back to the campsite and when we got back we decided to see who was on dinner duty and

Well we got to sleep in until 10 but most of us woke up around 11 and when we all woke up we had brunch and it was pretty good but after we were done eating Warren came by and asked if we wanted to go swimming so we said yeah and when we did go I didn't plan on going swimming but a couple people talked me into swimming and I honestly don't regret swimming because well it was fun swimming with Mrs. Trease, Alexis, Christina, Jay and Joel And Taylor and when we were swimming we were swimming by this log and we were sitting on the log and when I was sitting on the rock Taylor decided to go and push me off the log and when he did I hit a little stick that was popping out of the log and I hit that and I got a little bruise after I hit that but other than that my day kinda went alright and I tried my best to ignore the drama and try and have a good rest of the night so I tried my best to enjoy the rest of the night and I did because I got to talk to Christina about what I was fee
